Sliema BK 25

Ta’ Xbiex MP 6

(5-2, 3-1, 7-1, 10-2)

Sliema chalked up, in an easy manner, their third summer campaign win (the largest so far this Summer) after successes over Exiles and San Giljan respectively.

Ta’ Xbiex had a good start when they savoured the lead on two early occasions at 1-0, when George Attard scored his first seasonal goal making good use of a man-up, and at 2-1 after Peter Paolella’s first netting in the game.

The Blues however made good use of their man-ups (6 on 7 in the game) in the first session when they scored three goals.

Sliema definitely took the upper hand in the third session which they won 7-1 after changing ends at 8-3 in the lead.

With Ta’ Xbiex visibly tiring out, Sliema had another field day in the last session registering this season’s largest score in a session – ten goals
