Ladies Circle Malta donated a Sangyong Rodius Van to Caritas Malta as part of its fundraising activities for its 25 anniversary.
It recently organised an International Ladies Circle conference in Malta attended by 600 ladies from all over the world.
The event proved to be a great success and part of the funds were used to donate the van to Caritas Malta.
Caritas Malta offers a wide spectrum of services to those most in need and include the Foundation for the Rehabilitation of Drug Users, The Foundation for Victims of Usury, Community Outreach through the Diaconia Unit; Counselling and Social Work Intervention, Prevention Education and Awareness and HelpAge. Caritas Malta also offers help to various support groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Gamblers Anonymous;, Epilepsy Malta, Huntington’s Chorea, Thursday Club and the 21+ Club for lonely youths.
Caritas Malta’s latest project, was the setting up of the Harm Reduction Shelter – a shelter for homeless people with drug abuse problems. All Caritas Malta services are offered to the public free of charge.
Ladies Circle Malta is open to ladies up to 45 years of age and is in association with Round Table and also forms part of the Ladies Circle International with over 16,000 members throughout the world.
