Fishing enthusiasts will be able to enjoy an angling tournament that is being held at Valletta Waterfront on Saturday, 15 July. A magnificent 12-foot Porta Bote, donated by Porta Bote (Malta) Ltd, will go to the winner. Apart from the competition, the event will also raise funds for the Park of Friendship (Razzett tal-Hbiberija).

The competition, which will take place along the quayside, will begin at 2pm and run until 9pm, when the fish caught will be weighed to determine the winner. Apart from the first prize, fishing tackle and trophies will also be awarded to those coming in second and third place.

Visitors to Valletta Waterfront will also be able to enjoy entertainment provided by Fabrizio Faniello, the Young Talent Team, Hooligan, Augusto Cardinale, J. Anvil and others, starting at 7pm. Fresh fish, as well as other food and drink stalls, will also be available.

All those who donate Lm2 towards the Park of Friendship during the event will be entered in a lottery to win two return flights to the French Riviera, courtesy of Brittania Tours.
