Labour spokesman on international affairs Leo Brincat yesterday said that any military intervention in the Middle East had to be measured and decisions not taken lightly, so as to avoid the crisis spreading throughout the region.
Mr Brincat said that measures that could destabilize and bring down Lebanon’s fragile government should be avoided, and he called on the international community to intervene.
He hoped that the matter would be discussed during the G8 summit which is being held this week.
