Last Friday the Valletta Subbuteo Club season came to an end when Champion Mark Gauci won the Super Cup against Knock Out finalist Joe Mifsud.

Gauci took the lead in the first half with Mifsud equalising early in the second half. Gauci scored two goals in the last 3 minutes of the game to claim the Super Cup for the first time with a deserved 3-1 result.

After the match Club Secretary Joe Zammit Pavia presented the awards during which a power point slide presentation prepared by Committee member Malcolm Abdilla Castillo was screened during the presentation.

The awards this year included rankings placing for all players who took part in the club competitions with Mark Gauci leading the table with 3,488 pts after winning five major honours out of seven.

After the presentation the club President Derek Conti made his closing speech in where he thanked the committee members for their commitment once again this season and all members for being part of the club which came to an end.

He congratulated all winners and auger future success to all playing members. Finally he thanked the main sponsors Estetika Co Limited and Medlink International for helping the club this season.
