Silvio Attard was the winner yesterday of the skeet competition for the Mosta Bacon Trophy, organised by the Malta Shooting Federation at the Bidnija ranges.

Attard placed first after the barage with a score of 62, having totalled 40 + 22.

In second place was Darren Vella with 61. Also with the same score, but placing third, was Max Fenech. Fourth was Ray Camilleri on 58, the same as Jason Sciberras, who was placed fifth. Sixth was Clive Farrugia who had a score of 57.

Class A had been won by Darren Vella ahead of Silvio Attard. Both hit 50 targets.

Jimmy Muscat won Class B with 35, with second placing going to Herbert Sammut on 28.

Next weekend, the All Malta Skeet event will be organised at Bidnija.
