The Eden leisure group leaves no stone unturned in providing the right type of entertainment for children attending Eden Summer Club. The first of three workshops organised by the Eden Summer Club and the Malta Tourism Authority was held on 25 July during the Kids’ Eden Summer Club. Planned as a fun activity for children, this workshop highlighted the importance of tourism in the life of young Maltese citizens.
AnnMarie Caruana, Brand and Training coordinator, entertained around 60 enthusiastic children who, having been divided into 11 groups, each presented their group’s version of I am Malta.
It is surprising what young children from the age of four to 12 can come up with! Each group elected a speaker who did the talking, quoting Maltese history, but also mentioning our traditions, crafts and food such as
pastizzi, qubbajt and other goodies!
AnnMarie said: “It is a fact that we always stand to learn from children. The role playing activity where they were asked to pretend they were hosting a tourist was impeccably acted out.”
I am Malta T-shirts were given to the most hardworking participants, while all the children received MTA bookmarks. Similar events will be held in August and in September for the benefit of children attending the Eden Summer Club during those months.
