Elaine Sammut is the recipient of The Victoria Hotel’s Summer Achiever Award.
This is a bi-annual award established by The Victoria to honour those workers who excel in the line of duty.
Elaine, who is 22, joined the hotel through an Employment and Training Corporation scheme in February, 2001.
Her first responsibility was that of Trainee Room Attendant.
She was appointed Room Attendant the following year and, in 2003, having taken up specific training, was given the post of Mini-Bar Attendant.
Her colleagues at the Victoria consider Elaine a pleasant and cheerful character who is always ready to offer her
services when required.
The general manager of The Victoria Hotel, Claire Xuereb, said: “She is very diligent. Furthermore, during her employment, Elaine has really proved to be a great asset to the operation”.
