The Malta Billiard & Snooker Association has announced that the new season 2006/07 will start on Monday 25 September.

Officials of the MBSA will be at St. Joseph Band Club in Hamrun on Wednesday 9 August between 5.30 and 8pm to receive both club and player registrations.

Clubs can send the registrations before this date to Mr. Joe Degiorgio at 22, Block 1, Archbishop Street, Senglea or phone on 79999147.

Alex Borg in action today

Malta and European champion Alex Borg will play his first official match in the new WPBSA season at Pontin’s today as he meets Liu Song of China in the first round of the N. Ireland Trophy.

If Borg wins, his next opponent in round two will be none other than Tony Drago.
