Malta and European champion Alex Borg was eliminated from the N. Ireland Trophy yesterday.

He lost the first round match against Liu Song of China 5-3 and the prospect of meeting Tony Drago in round two today vanished into thin air.

Drago will now be facing Song today. If he wins this match, the Valletta-born cueist will move into the third round where he will face Marcus Campbell.
