M'scala went back to the top of the table, albeit with a game more, as they had to resist Ta' Xbiex in the opening sessions of the game.

The determining session was the third, as M'scala pulled clear, and kept Ta' Xbiex at arms' length till the end of the game.

The first two quarters were even as first one side, then the other, took the lead, and at half-time it was a 3-3 game.

In the third session both sides lost a penalty throw, as Tom van Oost saw Bugeja save for M'scala, and later on Tanti saved at the other end, off a Paul Fava throw.

In between M'scala scored two goals, for the first double lead of the match, and then increased their advantage till the end of the session.

In the last session M'scala made sure with another couple of goals, before Ta' Xbiex could reply with two goals of their own, but by then, the game was already won and lost.
