A Libyan man was charged in court on Saturday with violently raping a girl in Paceville on 22 July.

Musab Miftah Al-Kalbash, 29, was charged with violently raping the girl, violently and indecently assaulting her, holding her against her will and forcing her to do something which offends her sex. He was also charged with offending public morals and performing immoral acts in public as well as stealing a mobile phone. The Libyan man pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him. Magistrate Dennis Montebello turned down his request for bail and he was remanded in custody at the Corradino Correctional Facility.
