Thousands of students are currently attending the Skolasajf programme where they have the opportunity to learn and spend their free time in a productive manner, Education Department Permanent Secretary Frans Borg said yesterday.
Speaking during a visit to St Benedict’s College, Mr Borg also observed several students who are participating in a quiz between primary schools on the World Cup.
He said that the experience of the first college system which brought together students from Safi, Ghaxaq, Qrendi, Ghaxaq, Birzebbugia, Gudja, Mqabba and Zurrieq had been extremely positive.
Skolasajf began on 18 July with around 4,000 students taking part.
