According to reports on the Hibernians’ official website, Roderick Baldacchino and Peter Pullicino will be playing for Msida St Joseph this season.

The transfer was also confirmed on the Saints’ website yesterday.

The two players, who won the Championship with Hibernians in 2002, agreed terms with their new club on Wednesday evening.

Pullicino is currently with the Maltese national team, undergoing a training camp in the Czech Republic. Baldacchino meanwhile has already started training with his new mates.

These signings are the latest in a series of many the Msida club has made already in a bid to strengthen their side for the new 2006/07 season.

Under the guidance of new coach Patrick Curmi, Msida have already recruited goalkeeper Manuel Bartolo, defenders Luke Vella Critien and Stacey Vella as well as midfielder Adrian Farrugia from San Gwann, besides the former Mosta defender Pio Sciriha.

Should Nigerian striker Ibrahim Babatunde move abroad, Msida’s third foreigner this season would probably be Bulgarian defender Emil Yantchev (formerly of Birkirkara), who is already training with the Saints.
