Former Floriana nursery youngster Gianluca Calabretta, the nephew of former Hamrun S. president Victor Tedesco, is at present attending pre-season training with Sicilina amateur (Serie D) club Acicatena.

The side won promotion from the Eccellenza league to the Serie D last season and have strengthened their ranks with some new signings, among them Calabretta.
