Pieta won the Hibs Carlsberg tournament yesterday after they beat Marsaxlokk 1-0 and Hibs lost to Valletta 2-1.

A 42nd minute strike from Anatole Debono handed Pieta Hotspurs a surprise 1-0 win over Marsaxlokk in yesterday’s first match.

Hibs were forced to beat Valletta to win the title after Pieta’s win.

But the citizens stunned them when they opened the scoring through Monesterolo on 10 minutes. However, Ben Camilleri equalised for the Paolites before Justin Grioli again put Valletta in the lead before the interval.

The citizens controlled till the end as Hibs failed to at least share the spoils.
