Malta national coach Dusan Fitzel will be among Europe’s 52 national-team coaches and technical directors, as well as all the head coaches who participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, to be invited by FIFA and UEFA to a conference entitled 2006 & Beyond.

The event is being staged jointly by the world and European governing bodies in Berlin between 11-13 September. UEFA Chief Executive Lars-Christer Olsson said: “The aim of this major forum for national-team coaches is to review top-level football in 2006 including the FIFA World Cup in Germany, and to discuss a number of important issues and trends which will have an impact on the future of the game.”

The main focus will be on the World Cup from a technical point of view, with a presentation of the technical report, tactical analyses, the evolution of the laws of the game involving referees and a special salute to the winning coach, Marcello Lippi. The head coaches will be actively involved, and will be given the floor to voice opinion and to speak about their World Cup experiences.
