A group of 10 young boys forming part of the San Gwann Youth Football Nursery Under 10 category are visiting Brno, the Czech Republic’s second largest city, to participate in an international Youth Football tournament being organised there this week.

The San Gwann team will form part of a contingent of Maltese boys including those of the Luxol St. Andrews Nursery.

The contingent will be led by Christopher Sant, who will be accompanied by club official Bjorn Vassallo and Nursery head coach Sandro Zammit Fava. Parents and other relatives have travelled with the team, as part of an organised package.

During their stay, the boys will play five matches in the preliminary round, and move forward and play more games depending on their progress in the tournament.

The tournament organisers have made it a point to make the visit by international teams a memorable one and have included a number of cultural and social activities in the programme, which includes visits to Prague, Vienna in Austria and a number of local attractions.
