The national Under 17 and Under 13 teams will be playing the return matches against Austria in Vienna between Thursday and Sunday.
In the first matches that were played in Malta four weeks ago, the Malta Under 17 team beat Austria 22-5 while the Malta Under 13 beat their Austrian counterparts by 19 frames to 5.
For the Under 17 return match in Austria, Malta will be making one change as Duncan Pisani will be replacing Kevin Grech. The other two Maltese players will be Thurston Grixti and Shawn Agius. As in the encounter in Malta, Matthias Mallia will be used as a reserve player. The three players making the Under 13 team will be Jonathan Attard, Shaun Sultana and Wayne Pace.
This is the first time in the history of the Malta Billiard & Snooker Association that such friendly matches are taking place.
After an agreement that was reached between Vincent Pisani, the Public Relation Officer of the Malta Billiards & Snooker Association and Michael Kreuziger the President of SEBC Austria, the Maltese players will have free lodging at Ibis Hotel in Vienna.
