Malta’s scheduled friendly match against Bohemians Prague yesterday as part of their preparation during their week-long training camp in the Czech Republic, had to be called off due to heavy rain which made conditions impossible.

The Maltese contingent made up of 22 players, as well as coach Dusan Fitzel, assistant coach Mark Miller and the technical team, will be returning to Malta today.

On Sunday the team will travel to Vienna and then to Bratislava, Slovakia, where they will play a friendly ‘A’ international against Slovakia on Tuesday 15 August.

The group are due to return to Malta the following day, Wednesday.

This match will be part of Malta’s preparation prior to their first European Championship 2008 Group qualifying match against Bosnia Herzegovina on Saturday 2 September at Ta’ Qali National Stadium.
