Those who have visited the Garden of Serenity in Santa Lucija, are certainly aware of the splendour of such a unique place. Those who saw the film The Sound of Music can surely remember the story and the unforgettable melodies Edelweiss, Climb Ev'ry Mountain, Do Re Mi as well as the children of Captain Von Trapp and Maria.

Relaxation and music are two elements which will come together on 19 and 20 August with the production of this musical by a local group of talented young people.

Daniela Psaila, a piano teacher from Santa Lucija came up with this idea for her young students, together with members of a local choir and a group of dancers. Maria Zahra, a professional musician and certified dancing teacher and Keith and Leanne of Vogue Dancers have volunteered to assist Daniela in this production which is being recorded in Steve Attard's studio.

The stage built on one of the fountains of the garden, lights and music will surely provide a spectacular evening of nostalgia.

This event is being co-ordinated by the Santa Lucija Local Council. In fact, each year the council organises a similar event aimed at promoting and motivating young talent within the locality. The council takes this opportunity to thank the main sponsors of this event.
