The organisers of the recently held Malta-Pozzallo Cruising-In-Company Rally decided that the Lm10 entry fee paid by each of the 17 participating boats was to go towards Ir-Razzett Tal-Hbiberija.

“This small donation is a gesture of solidarity by a group of sailing enthusiasts who, while enjoying their favourite sport, wanted to express their support towards a Foundation which is giving invaluable service to the Maltese society in general”, said Wilfred Sultana while presenting Nathan Farrugia, Chief Executive of Ir-Razzett Tal-Hbiberija with a cheque for Lm400.

The balance of the donated sum was presented by three keen yachtsmen who were crew on board the participating yachts and by Wilfred Sultana & Associates publishers of ‘Yachting In Malta’.The Malta-Pozzallo Cruising-in-Company Rally formed part of a series of sport and cultural activities organised to coincide with the publication of the 30th Anniversary edition of ‘Yachting In Malta’ first published in 1976.

This programme, which also included an Art Exhibition by three local artists and an ‘Afloat!’ display of some of the leading brands of yachts available for sale in Malta, was sponsored by Virtu Ferries Limited, the Comune di Pozzallo and by ESI (Engineering for Science and Industry (Malta) Ltd.
