Ira Losco continues to enjoy tremendous success following the release of her second album Accident Prone. Ms Losco’s album still keeps its prominent place in the sales charts, while all five singles released from the album have held top five places in local radio charts. Ira Losco’s music and her dynamic stage presence keep drawing larger crowds to her performances.

“This year I saw a big difference in the Maltese audience reactions, they really do appreciate a good performance. I’ve always believed in giving energetic and good live performances and that’s what makes a good show,” she said.

In fact every gig Ira Losco has played this year has been packed solid, evoking incredible audience reactions, which reached a climax at the Bob Sinclair Summer festival gig two weeks ago. Ira and her band gave a powerful performance that left the audience in awe.

Ira Losco has also recently been voted the Bailey’s Woman of The Year. The final selection was based on a panel of judges’ and the peoples’ votes, proving yet again the popularity of this young singer/songwriter. Ms Losco was presented with a specially made trophy and was also given a sum of money, which she will donate to a charity of her choice.

Following her busy summer schedule Ira, will return to the studio to work on an interesting upcoming project. She will be working closely with her mentor and producer Howard Keith.

“What I love about my job is that I challenge myself every day. With this new project we’ll be taking on a different approach that will take my music to a new level. I think people are intrigued by the unexpected and that’s what this new project is about,” she said.
