Magistrate Abigail Lofaro yesterday ordered a man to relocate his three horses after she upheld an elderly woman’s complaint that the smell and noises were an inconvenience to her and her neighbours.
Joseph Falzon, 25, from Mosta was ordered to relocate his three horses within three months and was fined Lm25. Magistrate Lofaro warned him that if the horses are not relocated within the time limit stipulated, he would be fined Lm2 a day until they are relocated.
The woman, through her lawyer Anglu Farrugia, complained that the horses were noisy during the night and that because of their excrement, she could not even leave her bedroom window open for some fresh air.
On the other hand, the man’s lawyer Emmy Bezzina said the horses were not an inconvenience and that the woman’s complaint was only the result of her son’s revenge on his client.
Magistrate Lofaro fined the man Lm25 and ordered him to relocate his horses within three months.
