Zabbar's Sanctuary Museum Committee will open an exhibition of paintings by Oratio Italo Serge (1906-1978). The exhibition will be housed in the museum's temporary exhibition hall.

Serge's works were commissioned by former parish priest Mgr Guzeppi Zarb in 1969 as illustrations for his book Is-Santwarju ta' Haz-Zabbar fi zmien il-Kavallieri. The paintings portray sea battles of the times of the Knights of St John. The exhibition will be opened by the artist's daughter Mariu' Serge on Saturday 26 August at 7pm. The exhibition will be open for the public until 10 September.
