Newly crowned champions Neptunes Vodafone stand a good chance of making a ‘double’ after they were handed a semi-final draw with San Giljan Zara in the First Division knock-out. The match will be played next Thursday at 6.45pm.

Neptunes yesterday have officially announced that they have confirmed Croatian Sergio Afric as coach and Karl Izzo as assistant coach for the next two years.

On Wednesday, Sirens 2X and Sliema Burger King meet in the other semi-final match (6.45pm), trying to make it for Sunday’s final.

On Wednesday, at 5.30pm, Exiles RMF and Marsaxlokk Freeport play the preliminary match from the Division 2 knock-out, the winners of which will meet Ta’ Xbiex Mermaids Paradise in the semis on Friday.

The other semi-final match is between Marsaskala Breakers and Otters and will be played on Thursday at 5.30pm.

Meanwhile the Division 2 championship decider between Marsaskala Breakers and Exiles RMF will be played today. Both teams finished in first place with 14 points each in this season’s Division 2 championship.
