Double Trap shooter William Chetcuti and Trap shooters Frans Pace, George Cassar and Nicky Carabott are in Maribor, in Slovania, to participate in the European Championships 2006.

In the Double Trap competition William managed to hit 43, 38 and 45 for a total of 126/150 yesterday. The Trap shooters will be shooting on 125 targets this weekend.

Another contingent of junior shooters is in Italy to take part in the Juniors Shooting Championships Sabbia D'Oro in Venezia, Italy. The young skeet shooter Clive Farrugia will be the only Maltese skeet shooter this year. Last year he won the gold medal in Skeet U/14.This year he will be shooting with the U/16.

In trap, there are four Maltese shooters – Justin Attard, Ryan Bugeja, Kurt Cardona and Marco Micallef.They are accompaned by M.S.F.officials Grezzju Agius and George Micallef. They will be training officially today. The competitions are to be held during the weekend.
