The current Middlesea Valletta Life National league continues at the Eden SuperBowl, with week seven producing a fantastic 0-8 win for Sammy’s Embroideries over the better rated Sagio Investments outfit, taking Sammy’s up to third place.

There was also a big 0-8 defeat for Royal Shock against Fina First, who, thanks to a 4-4 draw for leaders Aercomms against Vintage, now share the top spot on 42 points. There was a full point victory for Redwell Heating over bottom side faces, while in other matches Ramis were 2-6 winners against HSBC, and Right Deal managed a 6-2 victory over La Spigola.

Sammy’s Embroideries continue to enjoy their bowling this season, and are sitting in third place in Division I after their impressive disposal of Sagio Investments. Sammy’s easily won the game one which ended 678-748 in their favour, and were quick to make it 0 - 4 with a closer 718-737 win in game two. They were on a roll as Sagio Investments seemed to struggle on the lanes, and game three ended 726-785 to complete the whitewash and place Sammy’s Embroideries up amongst the major players. In two short weeks, Fina First have managed to draw level with Aercomms at the top of Division I, thanks to some favourable results and also a great 0-8 drubbing of Royal Shock in their latest confrontation. Royal Shock can play a lot better than they did against the Fina aces, but suffered as a team, bowling low to hand victory to their opponents on a plate. Leaders Aercomms were again instrumental in allowing Fina First to catch them up, losing four big points in their match against Vintage. Although game one was ‘business as usual’ for the defending champions, who beat their adversaries 765-706, Vintage dealt them a crucial body-blow in the second which they won with a huge 906 game against Aercomms’ 772 effort. Aercomms needed a good final win to clinch the match, and in fact took game three 778-707, but that was just short of the mark as Vintage stole the series points by just four pins (2315-2319) to force the draw thanks to their excellent second game. Redwell Heating took all eight from stragglers Faces in a particularly one sided match. Ramis are still in the drop-zone after week seven, but picked up a welcome 2-6 victory over HSBC to help in their survival campaign.

Right Deal pulled themselves up to ninth place thanks to a

6-2 victory over La Spigola.
