Yesterday at the Malta Sports Shooting Federation ranges in Bidnija the Skeet competition in the European Commonwealth Shooting Championships, being hosted by Malta, got underway.

Yesterday’s competition was on 75 clays. Skeet shooters from Malta,Wales and Northern Ireland are taking part in this competition which continues today on another 50 clays with the best six shooters qualifying for the final barrage of 25 clays

The Maltese Skeet team is leading with Darren Vella,Clive Farrugia, Jason Sciberras and Max Fenech for a total of 256 clays.

The Welsh team is second with Allen Michal,Jeremy Julian, Jenkins Paul and Hanendense Roger for a total of 254.

In the individual category, Maltese shooter Darren Vella, who hit 68 clays, is temporarily in third place behind joint leaders from Wales Malom Allen and Julian Jerem, hitting 70 clays each.
