The BOV Premier League resumes this evening with a most interesting match between struggling champions Birkirkara and Sliema Wanderers.

Both teams hada rather difficult start this season, with Birkirkara suffering two defeats from four matches.

The Stripes are still smarting from their defeat against Hibernians with the odd goal in five, after suffering a humiliating defeat against leaders Msida.

Sliema are coming fresh from a victory against newly promoted Marsa. Coach Edward Aquilina is expected to include Italian Mauro Di Lello and Malta international Calude Mattocks in his first eleven.

Birkirkara coach Stephen Azzopardi still has a long injury list, including Michael Galea Jonathan Holland, Rodrick Briffa and Adrian Ciantar.

Etienne Barbara who came in as a substitute against Hibernians, could be a starter this evening and could add the much needed punch in attack for the champions. The match kicks off at 8.30pm.
