The Maltese Amateur national team yesterday left Malta for Wroclaw, Poland, where it will be taking part in the fifth UEFA mini-tournament.

The coaches, JJ Aquilina and his assistant JJ Bajada, have selected the following players to make the trip:

Goalkeepers: Michael Carter, Sean Mintoff.

Defenders: Jeffrey Fenech, Clive Formosa, Thane Micallef, Michael Ciappara, Emmanuel Sank.

Midfielders: Chris Cuschieri, Emmanuel Cutajar, Jeremy Dalli, Gregory Degabriele, Andre Formosa, Matthew Genuis, Anthony Portelli, Ivan Zammit

Strikers: Matthew Borg, Chris Farrugia, Alan Spiteri.

Tomorrow, they will be meeting Sachsoscher of Germany. On Wednesday, they will face Poland’s Dolnoslazski and on Friday they have a match against Toscana of Italy.

The head of delegation is MFA executive committee member John Vella.
