The IFBB-Malta will be organising the 2006 national Bodybuilding championships at the University’s Sir Temi Zammit Hall today. The competition will start at 6.30pm.
Twenty five participants will be contesting the categories and guest poser will be Dominic Schieda. The level of competition this year is very high. The top three in the overall standings will be representing Malta at the world championships in the Czech Republic between 26-30 October. IFBB-Malta is affiliated with the Malta Olympic Committee.
The IFBB was formed in 1946 in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada by Ben and Jow Weider in order to unify, control and coordinate the sport of bodybuilding throughout the world. In 1969, the IFBB joined the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) and became an active member and still is today.
