APS Bank is proud and honoured that one of the last official engagements in Mgr Giuseppe Mercieca’s long and distinguished tenure as archbishop was his patronage of APS Bank’s flagship annual concert.

Held at St John’s Co-Cathedral on 1 December, the concert, which provided an exceptional musical experience, was dedicated to a Messa Grande by the nineteenth-century Giuseppe Spiteri Fremond o.s.a.

Soloists, musicians and a highly able choir made this particular concert a memorable occasion appreciated by music aficionados and the public at large.

The concert was performed for a very large audience which included the prime minister, bishops, parliamentarians, members of the judiciary and the diplomatic corp.

APS Bank’s Chairman, Prof. E. P. Delia, personally thanked all those who contributed to make this concert a success. He also took the opportunity to thank one of the Bank’s advisors, namely, musicologist, Mr Joseph Vella Bondin and Rev. Mro John Galea for reviving and editing the music manuscripts preserved in the archives of the Augustinian convent in Valletta.
