Following the intervention of the Services and Media Section of the General Workers Union (GWU), non-clerical staff at the Bank of Valletta (BOV) will receive an additional bonus.

The union had asked the bank to grant a bonus to the non-clerical staff after it had learnt that managerial and clerical employees would be granted an additional bonus following BOV’s successful financial year.

The bonus was granted to non-clerical staff following discussions between section secretary Cory Greenland and the bank’s management.

The GWU sent its best wishes to James Grech who has been re-elected worker-director. It thanked the other contestants for the post who, through their participation, had showed the importance and need for the position of worker-director.
