Green Gary – GreenPak’s new mascot – was introduced to children during this year’s Clean up the World Campaign activities organised recently by the Ministry for Resources and Infrastructure and the Ministry for Rural Affairs and the Environment at Wied Babu, Wied iz-Zurrieq and Hagar Qim.
Green Gary was an immediate success and received a noisy welcome from the children who also had the opportunity to take have their photograph taken with Green Gary.
GreenPak Limited has created a specific section on its
website for children – www.greenpak.com.mt/kids where they can find useful information for their school projects, such as tips on how to reduce, reuse and recycle packaging material at home and school.
Children can also widen their knowledge about environmental issues in a fun way through games and quizzes which are available on-line. They can also try out crafts and learn how to create toys from trash.
The children at the Clean Up the World 2006 activity at Zurrieq who had their photo taken with Green Gary can also see and download their photographs from the website. They can also join the GreenPak Kids Club for free.
GreenPak Limited was one of the main sponsors in the Clean Up the World – Malta 2006. As part of these activities GreenPak Limited also organised a clean up of the sea bed of Wied iz-Zurrieq, which is one of the prime dive sites of the Maltese Islands visited by thousands of local as well as foreign divers every year.
