A group of Maltese entrepreneurs has recently participated in a trade mission to Egypt, jointly organised by Malta Enterprise and Bank of Valletta.

BOV supported this business development initiative through its representative office in Cairo, with BOV’s Egypt representative manager Ian Messina being an active participant in the trade mission.

The Maltese entrepreneurs promoted a variety of products and services that were well received by the Egyptian entrepreneurs with whom they had meetings in Cairo during their mission. The programme also included a visit to the Embassy of Malta, where a number of meetings was held. A networking lunch with the Consul of Malta in Alexandria was also organised.

Another joint follow-up trade mission is being considered for the first half of 2007. This event is one in a series of initiatives supported by Malta Enterprise in order to assist

companies in their efforts to internationalise their business.
