A woman was jailed for one year, suspended for three, yesterday, after she pleaded guilty to being in possession of a stolen Samsung mobile phone in March 2004.
Appearing before magistrate Saviour Demicoli, Daniela Cassar, 28, from San Gwann, pleaded guilty to possessing the stolen mobile, which costs more than Lm100.
After considering her early guilty plea, and the fact that she cooperated with the police during their investigations, magistrate Demicoli jailed her for one year, suspended for three years.
Police Inspector Victor Aquilina prosecuted.
