Malta Hospice Movement has acquired an official corporate sponsor, namely Island Residence Club located at Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa.

The Malta Hospice Movement exists to provide and promote the highest standards of palliative care possible for people with cancer or motor neurone disease, and to help and support their families.

Hospice or palliative care is the active total care of patients whose disease is no longer responsive to curative treatment and for whom the goal must be the best possible quality of life for them and their families.

The Malta Hospice Movement yesterday received its first charitable donation from Island Residence Club for the sum of Lm500. The continued support from this corporate sponsorship programme will assist Malta Hospice Movement in continuing the valuable work it does for patients in need of expert care. Throughout 2007, the corporate sponsor will assist in various activities ranging from fund-raising, building works and away days.
