The first Maltese theatrical production ‘Qerq’ distributed by Bronk leads this week’s Top Ten Box Office chart of the films showing in local cinemas, KRS Film Distributors said yesterday.

The ‘12’ rated film playing in four locations, Eden in St Julian’s, Empire in Bugibba, Embassy in Valletta and The New Sun City Cine Palais in Marsascala attracted large audiences since it opened on Wednesday and many of the shows over the weekend were sold out.

Bronk’s ‘Qerq’, a suspenseful thriller directed by Louis Cuschieri and starring some of the best local talent, namely Frida Cauchi, Maria Farrugia, Fabian Scerri De Carlo and Ronald Saliba among others, will continue showing in local cinemas.
