A 31-year-old man from Santa Lucia was charged with stealing from the PN club in the same locality, damaging the property and relapsing.

Steve Vassallo is being charged with stealing money, cigarettes and other items from the club and with damaging the property on the night between 12 and 13 March 2003, to the detriment of Carmelo Zarb.

He is also being charged with relapsing.

Magistrate Anthony Vella presided over the court.

Police Inspector Geoffrey Azzopardi is prosecuting, while Dr Franco Debono is appearing for the accused.
