A Tunisian man, Anis Bel Haj Mohamed, is desperately searching for his daughter, Salsabil Bel Haj Mohamed, who he says is living in Malta.

The girl was born on 1 February 2001.

In a desperate appeal to this newspaper, Mr Bel Haj Mohamed said his requests for a visa to come to Malta have been rejected and he does not know if his daughter is dead or alive.

Appeals he made to the President, the minister and Immigration have not been answered.
