Ten students from the European Institute of Education (EIE), the local centre for various departments at the University of Leicester, were awarded their Master degrees from the university during a graduation ceremony held in Leicester, UK in January.
The students were presented with their respective degree certificates by university chancellor Sir Peter Williams, and were accompanied in Leicester by Antonello Cappitta, Director of Courses at EIE.
Angiolino Sciberras (Assistant Officer – Air Malta plc), Reuben Collins (IT Field Operation Technician – Orange Business Services), Chris Cassar Torregiani (Business Development Director – Intex World Business Group), and William Mizzi (Assistant Manager Investments – Air Malta plc) graduated Master of Business Administration.
Karen Montalto (Manager - Bank of Valletta plc), Louann Sammut (Teacher – Education Division) and Joseph Micallef (Operations Manager-Health Division, St. Luke's Hospital) graduated Master of Business Administration (Employment Relations).
Silvio Chetcuti (Private Clients Relationship Officer - Bank of Valletta plc) graduated Master of Business Administration (Finance).
Darren Mascena (Investment Services Officer – APS Bank Limited) graduated
MSc Finance.
Antonio Olivari D’Emanuele (Marketing & Communications Executive - Foundation for Social Welfare Services), graduated MA Mass Communications.
The local institute organised a graduation dinner at a prominent hotel in Leicester. This was attended by the graduates and their respective guests and family members.
The European Institute of Education is licensed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment as a tertiary level institution of European University Switzerland and University of Leicester.
