The five winning BOV merchant customers in BOV’s latest card promotion were SISA Malta Sliema, Nicholsons Supermarket, Park Towers Supermarket, BHS-Sliema and Agenda Bookshop, Sliema. The merchants were drawn from among those that processed card payments through Bank of Valletta’s electronic point of sale terminals at their retail outlet. They won an Air Malta Flyaway Tour to a destination of their choice.
The prizes were presented to the merchants by John Pace, manager at BOV’s Card Centre. Congratulating the winners, Mr Pace highlighted how BOV cards are becoming an increasingly popular method of payment. “Whether shopping, dining out or travelling abroad, we are noticing a consistent trend whereby customers are increasingly taking advantage of the convenience of paying for goods and services with a debit or a credit card,” said Mr Pace.
“Bank of Valletta is regularly seeking to add value to its cardholders and to merchants who accept BOV cards,” he added. He said that merchants stand to benefit by accepting cards through immediate authorisation of each transaction providing a safer means of payment, a reduction in cash handling and constant support from BOV’s Card Centre.
Through the campaign, which ran between 26 November and 31 January, Bank of Valletta also rewarded 101 cardholders who were reimbursed with twice the amount of a particular transaction that was selected in a draw.
