Adding Value through business networking

Malta Independent Saturday, 24 February 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

It is more essential to describe what value one adds to a client’s business as opposed to the title one carries. This was one of the important principles learnt by the 70 people who participated in the “Kintish Experience”, a full day seminar dealing with networking organised by MGI Finconsult.

The Kintish Experience delivered practical tips on networking such as how one can break into groups at gatherings and how to read such groups in advance. The presentation was lively and most unusual by Maltese standards since it involved audience participation and interaction throughout the whole seminar.

Delegates were encouraged to start practicing immediately what they were learning and were requested to demonstrate their success with

specific cases of actual contacts and appointments made. Numerous delegates stood up to announce their success mentioning specific examples. Mr Kintish shared his own humorous experiences of how and how not to network.

In the three days prior to the seminar, requests for participation had to be turned down as the venue was not large enough to cope with the response. This resulted in interested people requesting a repeat seminar in the near future.

Anyone wishing to be informed about Mr Kintish’s next presentation in Malta can contact MGI Malta on [email protected] or call 2180 2044.
