Court: Man Accused of slightly injuring public officer

A 52-year-old man was yesterday granted bail after he pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring a public officer.

Before Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona, Emanuel Degabriele from Balzan pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring Victor Caruana on Sunday at 10.30am in Floriana.

Mr Degabriele also pleaded not guilty to breaching public peace.

Magistrate Micallef Trigona granted Mr Degabriele bail against a personal guarantee of Lm200.

Police Inspector Alfred Mallia prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera and Dr Veronique Dalli appeared for the accused.
