The Association of Lyceum Past Students (ALPS) will be holding a fund-raising dinner at the Topaz Hotel, Bugibba, on Friday, in aid of the refurbishment of the main kitchen of the Siggiewi Dar tal-Providenza homes for the handicapped.
The association’s activity is being done to enhance the proceeds of the planned Lyceum Bicycle Marathon, being held at the Dun Guzepp Zammit (Brighella) Lyceum, Hamrun, between 23-25 March. The homes will be the only beneficiary of this year’s marathon, which is being organised by the lyceum with the collaboration of ALPS and Sliema Boys’ Junior Lyceum.
The price of the buffet dinner on Friday is Lm6 each, but for Lm4 more per head, diners can sleep overnight and have breakfast on Saturday morning at the hotel. For an additional Lm10, patrons can extend their stay to Sunday morning.
Bookings for the ALPS fund-raising dinner can be made with ALPS secretary-general Alex Borg on telephone 2138-6812 (email: [email protected]) or social activities commission chairman Alfred G. Formosa on 2138-3486 (email: [email protected]).
