Valletta Waterfront’s Heat Bar and Diner is gearing up to host the awaited special charity event No Tips for VIPs tomorrow at 8.30pm. All profits generated by the activity will be in aid of Caritas Malta’s Harm Reduction Shelter.
The Harm Reduction Shelter has evolved from an 18-year-long experience with a category of clients who indulge in polydrug abuse. These persons live an extremely chaotic lifestyle and typically lack any sort of family support. None of them has stable housing, and they tend to make arrangements for their night’s shelter on a day-to-day basis. Some of them do not manage to find any sort of shelter at all, and are entirely homeless. No Tips for VIPs will directly contribute to this Caritas shelter.
On the night, an array of personalities from the fields of music, television and politics will be giving up their time to spend it with VISET staff serving patrons. DJ Gianni and Jonathan Abel who will be the hosts for the night, will present the live bands with Klinsmann Coleiro kicking off the party at 8.30pm followed by the Versatile Brass Band. At 9.30pm, Scream Daisy will also entertain the audience with their popular singles, with Scar closing off the live performances at 10.30pm. Weather permitting, the Versatile Brass Band will perform by the water’s edge.
The dance floor will then be taken over by the most popular DJs in Malta, who will each play their music sets. Malcolm B will boost up the party at 11pm followed by Miss Roberta at 12.30am and J Joy at 2am.
The event will feature, among others, the Zoo team, Winter Moods, Valerie Vella, Tonio Darmanin, Robert Cutajar, Peppi Azzopardi, Peter Busuttil, Nadine Axisa, Moira Delia, Miriam Dalli, Lou Bondi, Kristina Casolani, Jason Micallef, Julia Farrugia, Joseph Chetchuti, J Anvil, Jonathan Abel, Ira Losco, Hooligan, the cast from Giselle, Dr Alfred Sant, DJ Gianni, Claire Agius, Clint Bajada, Bitterside and Andrea Cassar.
“All those visiting will be asked to give a donation of Lm1 at the door in aid of Caritas’ Malta Harm Reduction Shelter,” said Mr Chris Paris, General Manager, VISET Malta plc.
