Young entrepreneurs who feel they have an idea for a new business have the chance to show off their skills in the JCI Malta Best Business Plan Competition for 2007. The competition, supported by HSBC and KPMG, gives individuals the opportunity to put their original and viable business ideas forward to a panel of judges, competing both locally and internationally for an award recognising the most innovative and well drawn-up business plan.
The winning business plan will win a grand cash prize of Lm1,000 while the first runner-up will be awarded a cash prize of Lm250. The winning business plan will automatically participate in JCI’s International Best Business Plan Competition and the 2008 JCI World Congress, with the chance of winning a further $5,000.
For the first time ever, JCI will be presenting the business plans recommended by the panel of judges to potential investors who are seeking to invest capital in such ideas. This means that a number of business ideas have a chance of becoming a reality.
Participation in the local competition is open to all Maltese residents aged between 18 and 40. The application fee is Lm30. For more information of the BBP Competition and an entry form, visit the JCI Malta website at www.jci.org.mt, e-mail [email protected] or contact the project team on 9942-8488. The submission deadline for applications is 12 April.
