Works costing Lm300,000 currently in progress at Mosta proved the government’s commitment for the improvement of communities around Malta and Gozo, the Department of Information said yesterday.
In the area known as Ta’ Mlit, the Family and Social Solidarity Ministry, through the Department for Housing Construction and Maintenance, is developing a project aimed at ensuring that the 220 families residing in the area benefit from the best possible environment.
The Department for Housing Construction and Maintenance also ensured that residents’ wishes were respected and requested that the local council improve its plan with regards to parking provisions to better respect the residents’ opinions. Following this, the local council obtained the necessary permit and issued the tender for works.
Work on the Ta’ Mlit project began last summer and is expected to come to an end by the coming summer, the DOI said.
