Last weekend the Bay Street Complex hosted a very successful Mission Fund activity in aid of the Guatemala Project. During this activitiy, Mission Fund collected over Lm700 in aid of the building of a school in the parish of San Manuel Chaparron, in Guatemala, where Fr Anton Grech, a Gozitan priest, has been working for the past 10 years.

During the fund-raising activity, a number of performances were held by Aldo Busuttil, The She 2s, Corinne Turner, the White Crimson Band, Rita Pace, Klinsmann Coleiro, J Anvil, Nadine Axisa, Bernice Camilleri and Priscilla Psaila.

Mission Fund was set up in 1984 to offer regular financial aid to the many Maltese and Gozitan missions spread over 40 countries. Every year, Mission Fund trains and sends groups of 20 volunteers and a container of aid to assist in specific projects undertaken as part of such missions.
